Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy
After internally testing generative AI technologies out of curiosity and to better understand how they work, Kinos made the decision not to use generative artificial intelligence for image creation. While we understand these tools and recognize their power, significant grey areas remain—particularly regarding copyright, traceability, and intellectual property. In a field where originality and integrity are essential, we choose to rely on methods whose ethics and responsibilities are clearly established.
This decision is also part of our commitment to digital sobriety. Generative AI is widely recognized for its high energy consumption and significant environmental footprint, largely due to the infrastructure required to operate it. At Kinos, we believe graphic creation must be sustainable, and we therefore prioritize practices that reduce environmental impact while maintaining a high standard of quality.
That said, we remain pragmatic and respectful of our clients’ needs. If a client chooses to use artificial intelligence or provides AI-generated images, that decision is entirely theirs. In such cases, we clearly communicate our reservations and the issues associated with this technology, while respecting the client’s final decision.
At Kinos, we firmly believe that art is first and foremost a human expression—driven by creativity, imagination, and technical expertise. Our studio has always prioritized human skill, custom creation, and proven tools to ensure the highest level of quality. This human-centred approach is, and will remain, at the core of our practice—because we believe the true value of a visual lies in the sensitivity, intention, and craftsmanship of those who create it.
